The kano state Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf has expressed deep concern over the distressing assault involving Rabi Hamza Danladi Nasidi, who was allegedly attacked and severely injured by one Kabiru Aminu at her residence. The victim reportedly sustained a sharp knife injury to her mouth, leaving her unable to eat and in a critical condition.
Although the accused was initially remanded by Magistrate Court No. 36 until 20th January 2026, the victim later observed that he had been released, a development that has generated serious public apprehension. In a viral social media video, Rabi Hamza Danladi Nasidi appealed directly to His Excellency Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf, seeking intervention and a fair judicial process.
Upon becoming aware of the incident, His Excellency Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf, deeply worried about the severity of the offence and the apparent irregularities surrounding the case, promptly directed the Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice, Abdulkarim Kabiru Maude , SAN, to investigate the matter thoroughly and take all necessary legal steps.
The Attorney General assured His Excellency that the case will be investigated comprehensively and that all individuals found to be involved will be held accountable in accordance with the law.
