Former Kano Commissioner Says No Candidate Can Match Governor Abba in Upcoming Election

Former Kano State Commissioner, Alhaji Ibrahim Ali Namadi Dala, has stated that no candidate from any political party possesses the political strength, public acceptance, and development record necessary to challenge Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf in the forthcoming Kano State gubernatorial election.

Alhaji Ibrahim Ali Namadi Dala made the remarks while speaking with journalists in Kano, where he reflected on the achievements of the current administration and the political landscape ahead of future elections.

According to him, Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf has, within just three years in office, demonstrated exceptional leadership through the implementation of numerous people-oriented projects and policies that have positively impacted the lives of residents across the state. He noted that the administration has recorded significant achievements in critical sectors such as education, healthcare, infrastructure development, youth empowerment, social welfare, and economic growth.

He explained that the government’s investment in education, including the renovation and construction of schools, provision of learning materials, and support for students through scholarship programmes, has restored confidence in the sector and improved access to quality education.

On healthcare, Namadi Dala commended the administration for upgrading health facilities, improving access to medical services, and implementing programmes aimed at enhancing the well-being of women, children, and vulnerable groups throughout the state.

He further highlighted the government’s efforts in road construction, urban renewal, water supply improvement, and other infrastructural projects, describing them as clear evidence of Governor Yusuf’s commitment to transforming Kano into a modern and prosperous state.

The former commissioner stressed that these achievements have earned the governor widespread support from various segments of society, including traditional leaders, youths, women, civil servants, traders, and community groups. He said many residents now view Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf as the most suitable leader to continue steering the affairs of Kano State beyond his current tenure.

Speaking on the political situation in Dala Local Government Area, Alhaji Namadi Dala described the area as one of the strongest political strongholds of the APC, expressing confidence that the party would continue to enjoy massive support from the electorate in future elections.

He called on the people of Kano State to carefully assess the performance of the current administration and make informed political decisions based on tangible achievements rather than empty promises. He urged citizens to support candidates whom they believe possess the vision, competence, and commitment required to sustain development and improve the living standards of the people.

According to him, the progress currently being witnessed across Kano State requires unity, peaceful coexistence, and collective support from all stakeholders to ensure that ongoing development programmes are sustained for the benefit of present and future generations.

Alhaji Ibrahim Ali Namadi Dala concluded by expressing optimism about the future of Kano State, emphasizing that continued support for good governance, accountability, and developmental policies remains essential for the state’s long-term growth and prosperity.
