The Director General of the Kano State Drugs and Medical Consumables Supply Agency (DMCSA), Pharm. Gali Sule, has reaffirmed the Agency’s commitment to fostering strategic partnerships with religious leaders and other critical stakeholders as part of ongoing efforts to strengthen healthcare service delivery and government-community relations in Kano State.
The Director General made this known when he received the leadership of the Council of Kadiriyya Imams, Kano State Chapter, on a courtesy visit to his office.
Welcoming the delegation, Pharm. Sule described religious leaders as indispensable partners in promoting societal development, public enlightenment, and healthy living, noting that their influence remains vital in advancing government policies and improving the well-being of citizens.
He stated that the Agency remains open to collaboration with all relevant stakeholders whose contributions will support the delivery of quality healthcare services and strengthen the state’s health system.
“The Council of Kadiriyya Imams occupies a strategic position in our society. Your guidance and influence are invaluable in promoting healthy communities and supporting government initiatives. At DMCSA, we remain committed to working with religious institutions, community leaders, and other stakeholders to improve healthcare delivery for the benefit of all residents of Kano State,” Pharm. Gali Sule said.
The Director General also expressed his appreciation to the Council for the courtesy visit, describing it as a great honour and a demonstration of the confidence reposed in the Agency.
Earlier, the Amir of the Council of Kadiriyya Imams, Kano State Chapter, Sheikh Hassan Mukhtar Atamma, said the delegation visited the Agency to formally introduce the Council’s leadership and establish a cordial working relationship with the DMCSA.
He noted that the Council is committed to supporting initiatives that promote public health, social harmony, and community development, stressing that collaboration with relevant government institutions remains essential to achieving these objectives.
“We are here to formally introduce the leadership of our Council and to build a productive relationship with the DMCSA. We believe that by working together, we can contribute to strengthening healthcare service delivery, promoting public health awareness, and enhancing the social well-being of the people of Kano State,” Sheikh Atamma stated.
The visit concluded with a shared commitment by both parties to sustain collaboration in advancing initiatives that will improve healthcare outcomes and contribute to the overall development of Kano State.
