The Director-General, Media and Publicity to Kano State Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf, Sunusi Bature Dawakin Tofa, has endorsed Hon. Tijjani Abdulkadir Jobe for another term in the House of Representatives, representing Dawakin Tofa, Rimin Gado and Tofa Federal Constituency.
Sunusi Bature, said his decision followed Jobe’s emergence as the preferred candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) for the constituency ahead of the 2027 general election.
He described Jobe’s emergence as a matter of destiny, noting that he had accepted the development as the will of Allah and would not oppose what he considered a divinely ordained outcome.
Sunusi explained that he and Jobe had previously contested for the same federal constituency seat at different times, first under the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) and later under the APC.
According to him, Jobe emerged as the preferred candidate during party reconciliation processes on both occasions—first under the NNPP with the backing of Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso and later under the APC with the support of Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf.
He said, as a Muslim, he had chosen to submit to Allah’s will and would therefore work for the success of the APC and its candidates in the 2027 general election.
The Director-General also called on his supporters, friends and family members to support the APC, while urging those contemplating anti-party activities in the constituency to abandon such plans.
He maintained that the APC had presented credible candidates capable representing their people, and prayed for Allah’s guidance for the party’s leaders to discharge their responsibilities in the best interest of there constituents. Hon. Jobe is seeking a sixth term in the House of Representatives.
