KMT Supporters Urge Defection to NDC Over Alleged Injustice in APC

Supporters and loyalists of Kashim Musa Tumsah, popularly known as KMT, have continued to call on him to consider leaving the All Progressives Congress (APC) for the National Democratic Congress (NDC) following what they described as injustice, unfair treatment, and lack of transparency in the party’s handling of the Yobe State governorship process.

According to many of his supporters across the state, KMT remains one of the most popular and widely accepted political figures in Yobe, with strong grassroots support, especially among youths and women. They argued that despite his commitment, loyalty, and efforts toward strengthening the APC, the treatment meted out to him during the governorship race has disappointed many party faithful.

The supporters stated that the repeated calls for KMT to move to the NDC are driven by the belief that he deserves a political platform where fairness, justice, and equal opportunity will prevail.

They further maintained that the political strength, credibility, and acceptability of Kashim Musa Tumsah remain intact, insisting that wherever he decides to go, a large number of supporters are ready to stand firmly behind him.

However, they also appealed for calm among supporters and urged everyone to remain peaceful and law-abiding while awaiting the next political direction from KMT.
