Kano State Roads Traffic Agency, KAROTA has embarked on monitoring its Traffic Control Units in Kano Metropolis to assess their performance.
The Monitoring team led by the Director Administration and General Services of the Agency,Alh Mahmud Haido on behalf of the Managing Director of KAROTA, Hon Faisal Mahmud Kabir is aimed at ensuring that Karota personnel are up and doing in the discharge of their responsibilities.
Speaking shortly after the team monitored Kofar Nassarawa Unit comprising Tarauni, Farm Centre and other areas, the Director, AIh Mahmud Haido expressed satisfaction with conduct of the Karota personnel on duty and urged them to sustain the zeal.
He however warned that the Agency would not tolerate laxity or absenteeism by the personnel.
The Director further assured that KAROTA would reward hard working staff and punish those found to be not serious or neglecting their duty posts in accordance with Kano State Civil Service rules and regulations.
He pointed out that the KAROTA MD, Hon Faisal Mahmud Kabir has never toyed with staff welfare and they should therefore reciprocate the gesture by being more dedicated to effective discharge of their duties.
The Director Administration and General services then stated the monitoring tour would cover other local government areas across the state where KAROTA personnel are stationed.
