The Kano State Independent Electoral Commission (KANSIEC) has announced that it has concluded all necessary arrangements to conduct bye-elections in Kofar Mazugal and Matan Fada Wards, located in Dala and Ghari Local Government Areas respectively.
The announcement follows the unfortunate death of the two councilors representing the affected wards. According to the Commission, the bye-election will be conducted in line with Section 30 of the Electoral Act, 2022, and Sections 76(2) and 116(2) of the 1999 Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria as amended.
Newshub24 report KANSIEC stated that the bye-election is scheduled to hold on the 13th of December, 2025, assuring the public of its readiness to conduct a credible, free, and fair election.
Finally, the Commission extended its heartfelt condolences to the Kano State Government and the people of Dala and Ghari Local Government Areas over the painful loss of their representatives.
