The Commissioner of Police, Kano State Police Command, CP Ibrahim Adamu Bakori, PhD, sfipma, mnim, mnips, masis, today received 30 newly posted Assistant Superintendents of Police (ASPs) from the Nigeria Police Academy, Wudil.
2. In his address, CP Bakori congratulated the officers on their successful passing out and emphasized the importance of professionalism, integrity, and good ambassadorship as they take up their new roles in various police divisions across the state.
3. He called on the officers to be committed to their duties, promote and protect human rights, and ensure that their conduct reflects the core values of the Nigeria Police Force: integrity, professionalism, and service.
4. CP Bakori stressed that as law enforcement officers, they are expected to maintain law and order, prevent crime, and protect the lives and property of citizens. He urged them to be approachable, fair, and respectful in their dealings with the public, and to work collaboratively with other security agencies and stakeholders to ensure the safety and security of Kano State.
5. The Commissioner also highlighted the importance of upholding the rights of citizens, particularly vulnerable groups such as women and children, and to take a proactive approach in addressing issues related to gender-based violence, human trafficking, and other forms of exploitation.
6. The newly posted ASPs are to take up their assignments with immediate effect and contribute to the efforts of the Kano State Police Command in maintaining peace and security in the state.
