KANO POLICE COMMAND PUTS ADEQUATE SECURITY ARRANGEMENTS IN PLACE FOR NEW YEAR CELEBRATIONS

The Kano State Police Command, led by the Commissioner of Police, CP Ibrahim Adamu Bakori, PhD, sfipma, mnim, mnips, masis, convened a follow-up meeting with the command’s operational commanders on December 29, 2025, to put in place security arrangements for the New Year celebrations. During the meeting, the Commissioner of Police commended the commanders for successful security coverage during the concluded Christmas Celebrations and emphasized the need for intensified patrols, visibility policing, and intelligence-led operations.

The following Security Measures have been put in place:
– Adequate Security: Places of visit and recreational facilities have been fortified
– Round-the-Clock Patrols: Effective patrols, traffic control, and improved intelligence gathering mechanisms concluded
– Safety Advisories: Residents urged to remain vigilant and report suspicious activities

– Avoid Suspicious Objects: Refrain from carrying unnecessary objects
– Be Vigilant: Report suspicious persons or movements
– Safe Driving Practices: No underage driving, over-speeding, or reckless driving
– Horse Riding: Unauthorized horse riding prohibited
– Knockouts (Bangers) Ban: Use of knockouts or bangers strictly prohibited
– Fireworks Ban: Use of fireworks completely banned
