The application form for joining the Hisbah Gandujiyya Board was officially launched on Saturday, December 6, 2025, in Kano under the leadership of APC stalwart Hon. Baffa Babba Dan Agundi.
The event was attended by the former Commander of the Kano Hisbah Board, Sheikh Harun Ibn Sina, who emphasized the need for a strong and well-structured system to uphold morals and good conduct in society.
Arewa Update, Report the launch marks the beginning of advanced preparations by the Hisbah Gandujiyya Board to revive operations they claim were halted after the dismissal of hundreds of personnel in the past.
The Board announced that it is currently developing major operational frameworks aimed at supporting the public, particularly youths and unemployed individuals across Kano State.
It stated that nearly twelve thousand people who were reportedly dismissed from the state Hisbah Board will benefit from the newly introduced structure.
Commanders of the new Hisbah Gandujiyya Board from all 44 local government areas of Kano State, along with some of their officers, were in attendance at the launch.
Hon. Dan Agundi noted that the new system will focus on enforcing law and order peacefully while discouraging youth involvement in criminal activities.
The Hisbah Gandujiyya Board pledged to operate with transparency and fairness and assured that the new measures they intend to implement will strengthen peace and security across Kano State.
