The Chairman of Kabo Local Government Area, Alhaji Lawan Na Jume Kabo, has declared that Kabo remains the leading local government in Kano State in terms of healthcare service delivery.
Speaking with journalists in Kano, the chairman said his administration has placed the health sector among its top priorities since assuming office, with a strong focus on improving healthcare access for residents, particularly pregnant women and children.
According to him, the council has introduced several interventions aimed at reducing maternal and infant mortality, including the provision of free medical tests and maternal healthcare services across health facilities in the local government area.
He noted that these initiatives have significantly increased the number of residents accessing healthcare services while improving the overall health and well-being of women and children in Kabo.
Alhaji Lawan Na Jume stated that his administration would continue to invest heavily in the health sector by providing medical equipment, essential drugs, and support for healthcare personnel to ensure efficient and quality service delivery.
The chairman also commended Kano State Governor, Abba Kabir Yusuf, for his continued support to local government councils, describing him as a leader committed to grassroots development and effective governance.
He said the governor has ensured that local governments receive their statutory allocations and the resources necessary to implement projects that directly impact the lives of citizens.
Alhaji Lawan further expressed confidence that the All Progressives Congress (APC) would record victories in future elections, adding that such successes would guarantee the continuity of policies and programmes designed to improve the welfare and development of the people.
He stressed that sustained political stability and effective leadership are essential for delivering meaningful development and improving the quality of life of citizens.
The chairman reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to advancing development in Kabo through improved healthcare services, education, and other people-oriented initiatives aimed at enhancing the living conditions of residents across the local government area.
