Reports reaching us have confirmed that security operatives have arrested a suspect in connection with the killing of a woman and her six children in Dorayi, a suburb within Kano metropolis.
A resident of the area, Zubairu Musa Bala, told our correspondent that the suspect was arrested at about 2:00 a.m., following credible intelligence and effective collaboration between security agencies and members of the community.
According to available reports, the arrest followed intensive investigations into the tragic incident, which has shaken the people of Dorayi and plunged residents of Kano State into deep mourning and shock.
Community members have expressed profound grief and anxiety over the incident, while calling on relevant authorities to ensure a thorough and independent investigation in order to secure justice for the victims.
