NUJ Kano Swears In New Executive Members Of Rahama Radio Chapel

The Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Kano State Council, has sworn in newly elected executive members of the Rahama Radio Chapel in a bid to strengthen leadership and promote professionalism within the journalism profession.
The swearing-in ceremony took place at the premises of Rahama Radio, where the Chairman of the Nigeria Union of Journalists, Kano State Council, Comrade Sulaiman Abdullahi Dederi, administered the oath of office to the new executives, alongside other officials of the Union.
Speaking during the ceremony, the NUK Chairman Comrade Sulaiman Abdullahi Dederi emphasized the importance of integrity, accountability, and adherence to ethical standards in journalism. He urged the newly sworn-in executives to uphold the core values of the profession and to remain committed to protecting the interests and welfare of journalists.
The NUJ Chairman further called on the Rahama Radio Chapel leadership to promote unity among members and to work closely with the Kano State Council of the Union towards advancing the growth and development of journalism in the state.
Those sworn in as members of the new Rahama Radio Chapel executive include Khalid Yusuf Idris as Chairman, Fatima Kabir Labaran as Vice Chairperson, Mubarak Hamza as Secretary, Zahraddeen Munir Ja’oji as Assistant Secretary, Usman Datti as Financial Secretary, Tukur S. Tukur as Treasurer, and Amatu Mu’izzu Abdurrahman as Assistant Treasurer.
In their separate remarks, the newly inaugurated executives expressed appreciation to the Union for the confidence reposed in them and pledged to discharge their duties diligently. They also assured members of their commitment to promoting unity, professionalism, and the welfare of journalists within Rahama Radio.
The new leadership reaffirmed its readiness to collaborate with the NUJ Kano State Council in ensuring compliance with journalistic ethics and in contributing to the overall development of the journalism profession in Kano State.
