The Kwankwasiyya Movement, Kano State Chapter, has submitted a formal petition to the Department of State Services (DSS) over alleged acts of cyberbullying, online harassment, and coordinated defamation on social media.
In a letter dated April 9, 2026, addressed to the DSS Director in Kano State, the group accused certain individuals, including the spokesperson to the Kano State Governor, as well as other government officials and associates, of being involved in the alleged actions.
According to the petition, the accused persons are alleged to have used social media platforms, particularly Facebook, to disseminate abusive and defamatory content targeting prominent members of the movement, including Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso and other key figures.
The group called on the DSS to conduct a thorough investigation into the matter and take appropriate legal action against anyone found culpable, in order to curb such activities and protect public dignity and peace.
As of the time of issuing this statement, there has been no official response from those accused.
The Kwankwasiyya Movement reaffirmed its commitment to defending the integrity of its members and ensuring that due process is followed in addressing such concerns.
