The Parents Teachers Association (PTA) of First Lady’s College, Kano State, has elected a new executive committee to steer its affairs for the coming of 4 year tenure.
The election, supervised by the State PTA Chairman, Alhaji Dalhatu Salihu, announced Alhaji Mamuda Ali as Chairman. Others elected are Ni’imatullah Bashir, Vice Chairman; Amir Musa, Treasurer; Prof. Kabir Sulaiman, Auditor; and Sunusi Abdullahi Kofar Na’isa, PRO I.
Also elected were Kabiru Abba, PRO II; Umma Ibrahim, Financial Secretary; Khadija Muhammad, Welfare Officer; Harira Alasan, Deputy Secretary; Nawawi Bamalli, Ex-Officio; and Jafar Yusuf Hamisu, Secretary.
Similarly, a new Board of Trustees was constituted with Hon. Naf’u Alasan A’a as Chairman; Alhaji Sammani, Vice Chairman; Buhari Abdulmidallib, Member; Umar Adamu Rabo, Member; and Lawan Sunusi, Secretary.
In his acceptance speech, newly elected Chairman Alhaji Mamuda Ali thanked parents and teachers for the confidence reposed in the team and pledged to justify the mandate.
The Director-Principal of First Lady’s College Hajiya Atine Muhammad expressed readiness to work closely with the new PTA leadership, highlighting some of the challenges facing the school and expressing confidence that they will be addressed.
The State PTA Chairman, Alhaji Dalhat Salihu, urged the new executives to work as a united team for the progress of the students, teachers, and the institution.
A total sum of ₦472,000 was donated by parents to support efforts toward tackling the school’s pressing challenges.
