ACF Organizes Friendly Football Tournament Among Seven Northern States

Arewa Consultative Forum has organized a friendly football tournament involving seven states from Northern Nigeria as part of activities marking the 25th anniversary of the Forum’s establishment.

Newshub24 Report The tournament, which will last for three days, is being supervised by Dr. Abubakar Sadiq Sa’adu Fakai and is taking place in Kano State.
According to Dr. Fakai, the competition aims to strengthen unity and friendship among the participating northern states, which include Kano, Katsina, Jigawa, Kaduna, Sokoto, Zamfara, and Kebbi.

A member of the organizing committee, Sharif, said that several prizes have been set aside for the teams that perform exceptionally in the competition.
Another committee member, Abdulhamid Abdullahi Dan Ketko, noted that the event will serve as a platform to discover new young talents who can represent their states and the nation at higher levels.

He added that the Forum decided to host the competition to promote sports development and enhance regional cooperation and integration among the Northern states.
The opening ceremony will take place at the Sani Abacha Stadium in Kano, with dignitaries expected from different parts of the country.
The matches will run from wednesday to Friday, with organizers expressing optimism that the event will foster friendship, unity, and social cohesion among the people of Northern Nigeria.
