Abdullahi Mahmud Gaya Withdraws, Endorses Gali Mustapha

An aspirant for the House of Representatives seat representing Gaya, Albasu and Ajingi Federal Constituency, Alhaji Abdullahi Mahmud Gaya, has announced his withdrawal from the race and declared his support for the incumbent lawmaker, Hon. Gali Mustapha, in the interest of unity and sustainable development in the constituency.

Abdullahi Mahmud Gaya made this known while addressing his supporters and other stakeholders, stating that the decision followed extensive consultations, careful consideration, and discussions with party leaders, elders, and other concerned stakeholders committed to the progress of Gaya, Albasu and Ajingi.

According to him, the major reason behind his withdrawal is to prioritize unity, peace, and the collective interest of the people above personal political ambition.

“I decided to withdraw my ambition to allow Hon. Gali Mustapha continue with the good work he is doing, while ensuring that our constituency moves forward in unity and mutual understanding,” he said.

This development comes at a time when the Kano State Governor, Alhaji Abba Kabir Yusuf, convened a major reconciliation meeting for political stakeholders and residents of Gaya, Albasu and Ajingi at the Kano State Government House.

The meeting, which brought together political leaders, aspirants, elders, and other stakeholders from the constituency, focused on fostering unity and resolving differences that could hinder political and social development in the area.

Abdullahi Mahmud Gaya commended the governor’s efforts in promoting peace and reconciliation among politicians in the state, noting that such initiatives would strengthen the party and improve its chances in future elections.

He also urged his supporters to remain loyal to the party and give Hon. Gali Mustapha their full support for the continued development of the constituency.

In his remarks, Hon. Gali Mustapha expressed appreciation for the gesture, describing Abdullahi Mahmud Gaya’s decision as patriotic and a demonstration of commitment to unity and the progress of the constituency.

Political observers believe the move will help reduce political tension in the area and position the party for stronger unity and better organization ahead of future elections.
