The Federal Government, in collaboration with the Kano State Government, has conducted an inspection tour of ongoing development projects in the state under the Renewed Hope Agenda.
The tour was led by the Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, alongside the Special Adviser to the President on Media and Public Communications, Sunday Dare.
The delegation began its visit at the Malam Aminu Kano Teaching Hospital, where they inspected a solar power project being implemented under the administration of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
They also visited Abdullahi Wase Specialist Hospital, Asiya Bayero Pediatric Hospital, as well as the ongoing flyover bridge projects at Dan Agundi and Tal’udu. In addition, the team inspected the Day Science School located along the Government House Road.
Speaking during the tour, Sunday Dare stated that the Federal Government is committed to providing solar-powered electricity to critical facilities that require urgent attention.
The Kano State Commissioner for Health, Dr. Abubakar Labaran Yusuf, provided further insight into the projects at the hospitals, noting that the government is continuously working to improve healthcare services and ensure easier access for the public.
On his part, the Commissioner for Works, Marwan Ahmad, explained the progress of the flyover bridge projects, assuring that efforts are being intensified to complete them before the end of the current month.
Also speaking, the Commissioner for Information and Internal Affairs, Ibrahim Abdullahi Waiya, said the purpose of the tour was to give the Federal Government delegation firsthand insight into the development projects in Kano and to strengthen cooperation between both governments.
The visit forms part of ongoing efforts by both the Federal and Kano State Governments to monitor development projects and ensure the effective implementation of the Renewed Hope Agenda for the benefit of the people.
