Director General of Kano State Pilgrims Welfare Board Resigns Appointment

The Director General of the Kano State Pilgrims Welfare Board, Alhaji Laminu Rabiu, has formally resigned from his appointment with immediate effect.

In a letter addressed to the Executive Governor of Kano State, His Excellency, the Governor, Alhaji Laminu Rabiu stated that his decision was informed by recent political developments within his party which require a realignment of his focus and commitments.

According to him, as a devoted member of the Kwankwasiyya movement, he remains loyal to the leader of the movement, Engr. Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, and committed to the principles and objectives of the political movement. He explained that stepping aside from the position would help preserve unity within the party and allow him to fully support the strategic direction required in the current political landscape.

Alhaji Laminu Rabiu expressed deep appreciation to the Executive Governor for the trust and confidence reposed in him to serve as Director General of the Kano State Pilgrims Welfare Board. He noted that it was an honour to serve in that capacity and that he is proud of the progress recorded in improving the welfare of pilgrims and strengthening the operational effectiveness of the Board.

He also thanked Allah (SWT), members of the Board, and staff of the Pilgrims Welfare Board for their cooperation and support throughout his tenure.

Alhaji Laminu Rabiu concluded by expressing gratitude for the opportunity to serve Kano State in such an important role.
