Governor Yusuf Approves ₦483.7m to Strengthen Community Security

Kano State Governor, Alhaji Abba Kabir Yusuf, has approved ₦483,750,000.00 to strengthen community policing and grassroots security across the state.

This was contained in a statement issued by the governor’s spokesperson, Sunusi Bature Dawakin Tofa on Saturday.

The approval was granted at the 35th Executive Council Meeting held on 18th December, 2025, under the Governor’s chairmanship.

The fund covers the procurement of 300 Boxer motorcycles for the newly established Neighbourhood Watch Corps to enhance patrol, response time, and visibility.

In addition, Governor Yusuf approved the absorption of the Neighbourhood Watch personnel into the state service, with permanent and pensionable appointments.

The Governor said the investment reflects his administration’s commitment to safeguarding lives and property at the community level.
